Lyrics
Seed Thoughts
I plant myself before the altar,
curled in, dark, a seed
sinking down into the earth,
buried alone.
Waters of spirit
seep through the soil,
gently penetrating
my once resistant shell.
In the deep womb of earth
all directions seem equal.
New life cries out in confusion.
Which way must I send my roots
to live? Which way must I grow
to seek the sun?
Struggling in darkness, I continue,
not knowing that the light,
despite my efforts,
slowly
draws me up
into itself.
